Ephi Maglaris, LEED AP brings 15 years of multi-faceted real estate experience to Chicagobroker.com. Ms Maglaris is committed to promoting sustainable practices in real estate for both landlords and tenants whether purchasing, operating, or leasing real estate.

Ms Maglaris joined Chicagobroker.com from NKF Consulting where she utilized her past experience to advise clients in aligning their real estate and business objectives to reduce occupancy costs.

In her prior position as an asset manager for Unitrin, she managed corporate real estate as well as investment properties in variety of asset classes including office, medical office, multi-family, parking facilities, entertainment venues and student housing. This diverse portfolio provided experience with 1031 exchanges, eminent domain, environmental mitigation issues, investment sales, relocations and corporate headquarters buildouts.

Clients will benefit from her experience in working from the landlord’s perspective in lease negotiations. Through her ability to identify and market the unique qualities of each asset, she has developed successful marketing and leasing campaigns resulting in increased occupancy rates and revenues. Ms Maglaris has worked with tenants ranging from Winston and Strawn, Leo Burnett, MB Financial Bank, McCormick and Schmick’s Restaurant, Tyco, Chicago Foundation For Women, Unisys, Cold Stone Creamery and Brennan’s as well as start-up companies.  

Ms. Maglaris received her bachelor’s degree in Marketing from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. She is an active member of  the U.S. Green Building Council  and Net Impact where she served on Service Corps project providing consulting to Sweet Miss Giving’s, a local non-profit bakery, on developing a strategy for “greening” their operations. Ms. Maglaris is also volunteers her time to various non-profits and has served on the host committee for Greenfestival – Chicago;  the Chicago Commercial Real Estate Awards Dinner, benefiting the Greater Chicago Food Depository; and Familyfarmed.org Expo, a trade show for local/organic food.
